Casey Junior is a site dedicated
to the great ol’ game
of Baseball, through
the eyes and writings
of Sports Columnist
Leo E. Cloutier
(1912-1988).
In his prime,
Mr. Cloutier covered
sports for 47
New England
newspapers.
His voice was
broadcast over
the radio and
television airwaves
doing interviews
with greats such as
Ty Cobb, Jackie Robinson
and Ted Williams.
He had a special love
for the Great American
Pastime which can be traced
back to his roots in the White
Mountains of Milan, NH, where he
grew up seeing his dad as Boss of a Logging Camp.

Leo and Laura Cloutier had 3 children, Jon Craig (B. 1943), Gail Ann( b 1944) and Li’l Casey (Chris) (b 1960). Now Leo and Laura have a legacy of 11 great grandchildren- though Leo passed away in 1988 and Laura in 2005. The Casey Junior Website is a great place to learn of the history of Leo Cloutier's Baseball Dinner, an annual Diamond Fete that gathered the truly great of the sports world to a grand head table and boasted sold out crowds of 2,700, making it the largest dinner of its kind in the world. We are working to build this website and to present more of Leo's writings. At his peak, Leo's column appeared in 47 newspapers in the USA.
